Beginning at an iron stob set on the north side of Cemetery Avenue (25 foot right of way) and being a corner of lands of John J. Sampson and Sulla G. Conaway (227 PLC 438); thence N25/30E 142.54 feet along a 10 foot unimproved road which conveys with said lands to an iron rebar set at the corner of lands of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church (3 CL 217); thence S73/45E 120 feet along the lands of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and Daniel J. PLC 314 - 25 June 1968 - Rosalie J. Fisher of Philadelphia, Administratrix of the
Estate of Fred Jackson, deceased, to Minnie Mae Jackson: Whereas Fred
Jackson, sometimes known as Frederick Andrew Jackson, died in Dorchester County
on 26 November 1966 intestate, and leaving the property intended to be conveyed
herein, known as the "Old Schoolhouse Property" situated in East New Market
Election District. Whereas Rosalie J. Fisher was duly appointed as
Adminstratrix of the Estate of Fred Jackson not in probate in No. 5387 in the
Orphan's Court for Dorchester County. Whereas Minnie Jackson (Minnie Mae
Jackson) has entered into an agreement with the said Rosalie J. Fisher, to
accept a deed of conveyance of the Old Schoolhouse Property. All that
property which was conveyed unto Frederick Andrew Jackson by the County Board of
Education by deed dated 18 August 1966 in 148 PLC 452. All those two lots
with the buildings and improvements thereon.
Lot No. 1 - Near the Mt. Zion Church. Beginning at a bounder at the
southeasterly corner of Mt. Zion colored Church, a point 150 feet southwestward
from the southerly side of Crotcher's Ferry Road leading to East New Market,
running thence along and with the southerly side of Mt. Zion Church parsonage
lot, and the lot of one Daniel Sampson and where Daniel Sampson now resides,
S81E 60 feet to a cedar post at the north west corner of Lot No. 2 hereinafter
described; running thence along and with the westerly side of said Lot No. 2
S20/45W 150 feet to the northerly edge of said Cemetery Road and the
southwesterly corner of Lot No. 2; and running thence and binding with the
northerly side of Cemetery Road, N81W 60 feet to the southeasterly corner of the
Sulla Conaway and Henry Conaway lot and where the now reside; running thence
along and with the easterly side of the said Conaway lot, N20/45E 150 feet to
the beginning bounder. Containing 8,700 feet of land.
Lot No. 2 - Beginning at the same iron pipe along the North side of Cemetery
Road at the end of the second course of a deed to the Board of School
Commissioners from Gertrude Andrews et al, dated 18 August 1890 in 14 CL 392,
and from said beginning binding with the second course reversed, and with the
said School Commissioners land N20/45E 150 feet to a pipe and to the beginning
of said course; and from thence S81E 60 feet to a stone; S20/45W 150 feet to a
stone and the north side of Cemetery Road; from thence running and binding with
the north side of said road N81W 60 feet to the place of beginning.
Containing 8700 square feet of land.
The above mentioned lots are contiguous and when taken together have a frontage
of 120 feet on the northerly side of Cemetery Road and run northward an even
width for a distance of 150 feet to the Mt. Zion property on the eastward and
the Sulla Conaway property on the westward and contains 17,400 square feet of
land.
14 CL 392 - 30 September 1890 - Gertrude Andrew, Adeline M. Hicks, and William H. Andrew to Board of School Commissioners for $75: Beginning at a cedar post about 150 feet from the south side of the county road from Crotchers Ferry to East New Market and at the East edge of an alley opened up from said county road running southerly and on the east side of said colored church to another street running easterly and westerly about 300 feet from said county road. Said post being represented at the letter A on plat, thence running S81E 60f to a cedar post, thence S20/45W 150f to said street running easterly and westerly, thence binding said street N81W 60f to the street running from the county road southerly and thence with said last named street N20/40E 150f to the beginning.

Young for $75: Lot near the East New Market depot on the east side of Rail Road and the south side of county road leading from East New Market to Crotcher's Ferry upon which is situated a dwelling house and other appurtenances, together with a wheelwright shop. Beginning at a stone on the N.E. corner of the borrowing pit of the R.R. ground , thence running easterly along with the line of the aforesaid country road 60f till it strikes a stone planted at the NW corner of the Harriet P. Pinkett lot, thence south or back with the line of the H.P. Pinkett lot 150f, thence across in a westerly direction and parallel with the front line 60f, thence northward toward the county road and parallel with the line of the Pinkett lot 150f. Containing 1/4 of an acre more or less.

Young, Enals Waters, Henry Cain, Draper Jackson, and Aaron Deshield, Trustees in Trust of Mount Zion M.E. Church of East New Market for $75: In trust that the said premises shall be used, kept, maintained, and disposed of as a place of Divine Worship for the use of the ministry and membership of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Beginning at the end of the first line of #2 and runs with said #2 S39/30E 150 feet, S50/30W 60 feet, N39/30W 150 feet, then N50/30E 60 feet to the place of beginning. Further described as Lot No. 3 situated near the Depot of the Dorchester & Delaware Rail Road Company and on the south side of the road leading from East New Market to Crotcher's Ferry and adjoining the lands of Thomas J. Hicks on the East and South and on the West by the land of Ebin Pinket.
