A check of $20, presented to Commissioner Johnson by Thomas B. Chamberlain, was turned over to board by Mr. Johnson to be applied on painting the colored school at East New Market, and Mr. Johnson was authorized by the Board to have the work done.
The board confirmed the appointments of the following teachers:
Emory A. Coughlin, School 1, District 2, East New Market
The following assistants were appointed:
Annie Abdell, Nellie Dean and Sue Creighton School 1, District 2, East
New Market
Anna Rooke, Marguerite Holland School 4, District 2, Secretary
The Board decided to increase the salaries of the principals at East New market and Vienna $50 each for the next year.
