On Wednesday evening of last week, September 30th, the children and grandchildren and a few friends gave Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hackett a very delightful surprise in honor of their fiftieth Anniversary. Cakes and ice cream made by friends and relatives were served and a very delightful evening was spent with the greatly surprised guests of honor. Several of the children were too far away to attend. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Blake and children, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Webster and two children, Mrs. Bradshaw and small children, Mr. Leon Brashaw, Mr. and Mrs. Luke Hackett and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Higgins and two children.
