The 1825 levy list contains monies paid to court officers, (such as judges, clerks, bailiffs, and constables); to jurors and others summoned to appear in court;  to residents who repaired, maintained, or provided resources for roads, bridges, or ferries; to those who killed crows; and to others for other reasons.  Due to time limitations I did not transcribe all the entries.  About 75% of the entries were payments for jury service, a court appearance, or noted "as by his account allowed".  Many of the interesting entries for Dorchester County are listed below:

To John C. Traverse for keeping the ferry over Slaughter Creek one year ending April Term 1825 - $320

To John Eason for keeping the ferry over the North West Fork of Nanticoke River one year ending April Term 1825 - $200

To Soloman Kirwin for keeping the ferry over Fishing Creek one year ending April Term 1825 - $200

To Samuel Keene of B. for keeping the ferry over Slaughter Creek on year ending April Term 1825 - $200

Thomas Bell bailiff to the Grand Jury ... use of Henry Nicolls - $12

George Griffith bailiff to the petit Jury - $8

To James Edmondson for 13 crows heads - $1.30
