647 MLB 181 – 13 April 2005 – Franklin M. Tyler Sr. & Virginia H. Tyler to Gregory G. Turnell for $93,000:  All that house and lot commonly known as the "Brown House" property in the town of East New Market, and more particularly described as Lot No. 3 in the deed from James H. Kimmey, unmarried, to Roselyn K. Mills, dated 10 September 1957 in 108 RSM 76.  Property fronts 60 feet on road and extends back a distance of 170 feet, being bounded on the north by the street, on the south by the lands now owned by Robert W. Randall, on the east by the lands owned by Wrightson Camper, and on the west by the Schoolhouse property.  Being the same property, which was conveyed unto Grantors by deed dated 21 September 1987 in 246 PLC 651.

246 PLC 651 – 21 September 1987 – Roselyn K. Mills to Franklin M. Tyler Sr. & Virginia H. Tyler, his wife, for $18,500:  [as described in 647 MLB 181].   Being the same property conveyed unto Roselyn K. Mills from James H. Kimmey, unmarried, by deed dated 21 September 1957 in 108 RSM 76.

108 RSM 76 – 21 September 1957 – James H. Kimmey, unmarried, to Roselyn K. Mills for $5:  Lot No. 1 – Lot in the town of East New Market on the northward side  of the county road running through the town of East New Market to the village of Secretary, fronting on said county road 40 feet, and running back at right angles with said road of an even width of 40 feet, a distance of 150 feet, and bounded as follows:  on the Westward by the Baptist Church property, on the southward by the lands of Samuel L. Webster and on the eastward side by the land of Andrew Dukes, now in the occupancy of Frank Millard; Being the same lot which was conveyed unto Sarah E. Kimmey by Emma A. Prettyman by deed dated 27 October 1910 in 2 WLR 658.  Being the land conveyed by J. Richard Jones, Trustee, unto the said Sarah E. Kimmey and Mina B. Kimmey, as joint tenants, by deed dated 19 July 1938 in 38 JFD 62.  The said Sarah E. Kimmey predeceased the said Mina B. Kimmey.
Lot No. 2 – Lot to the northward of Railroad Avenue in the town of East New Market, being part of the farm commonly known as "Rose Hill".  Beginning at a stone marking the end of the second course of Lot No. 2 of the Samuel L. Webster lands, which has been purchased by T. Jefferson Taylor, said stone and place of beginning being a division boundary between the land of said Taylor and the lot of land hereby conveyed, and from said beginning running thence, following and running with a wire fence, and running and binding upon the lands of the said Taylor and the 'Rose Hill Farm', which farm was part of the Samuel L. Webster estate N75/30W 161.5f to a fence post at a fence corner, thence running and binding with the said 'Rose Hill Farm', S25/60W 64.33f to a stone, thence running and binding with the right of way hereinafter described and running and binding along a wire fence, with the lands of Mrs. Harry Kimmey, Mrs. Polard Collins, and Mrs. Georgie Reed, S74E 173f to a fence post at a fence corner, thence running along a wire fence with the lands of Mrs. Emily Smith and H.H. Willoughby, N15/30E 66f to a stone and the place of beginning.  Containing ¼ acre of land.  A right of way described in a deed which also conveys Lot No. 2, from Thomas Frederic Chestnut, unmarried, unto Mina Belle Kimmey, dated 22 June 1943 in 47 RSM 325.

Lot No. 3 – House and lot commonly known as the 'Brown House' property.   [as described in 647 MLB 181].  Being the same land conveyed by Clarence H. Corkran Jr., Trustee, unto the said Mina B. Kimmey, by deed dated 3 April 1953 in 82 RSM 229. 
Title to the property above described passed to the said James H. Kimmey and Roselyn K. Mills (also known as Sarah Roselyn Mills), under item 'Second' of the last Will and Testament of the late Mina B. Kimmey (also known as Mina Belle Kimmey), which said Will is dated 31 March 1953 in 2 APM 472.  Will vests property equally in the said James H. Kimmey and Sarah Roselyn Mills with the express right of either to purchase the interest of the other tenant in common, which is the specific intent of these presents.

82 RSM 229 – 3 April 1953 – Clarence H. Corkran Jr., Trustee, to Mina B. Kimmey for $5:  Whereas by a deed of even date, the property by this deed intended to be conveyed was conveyed unto the said Clarence H. Corkran Jr., in trust, by James H. Kimmey, unmarried and Mina B. Kimmey, widow, to the end that the said Clarence H. Corkran Jr., in trust, by James H. Kimmey, unmarried and Mina B. Kimmey, widow, to the end that the said Clarence H. Corkran Jr., as Trustee, would reconvey the said property unto the said Mina B. Kimmey, absolutely, and in fee simple.  [as described in 647 MLB 181]  Being the same land, and all thereof, which was conveyed unto the said James H. Kimmey and Mina B. Kimmey by deed dated 27 September 1945 in 56 RSM 73.

56 RSM 73 – 27 September 1945 –  Nathanial B. Frampton & Elizabeth C. Frampton, his wife, to Mina B. Kimmey and James H. Kimmey, her son, for $5:  [as described in 647 MLB 181].  Being the same property which was conveyed to the said Nathanial B. Frampton & Elizabeth C. Frampton, his wife, by Madora Gertrude Wilson, husband, and others, by deed dated 29 August 1944 in 50 RSM 138.

50 RSM 138 – 29 August 1944 – Medora Gertrude Wilson & Herbert R.D. Wilson, her husband, of New York City, and Mary Marshall Brice & R. Tilghman Brice III, her husband, of Anne Arundel County, to Nathanial B. Frampton & Elizabeth C. Frampton, his wife, for $5:  [as described in 647 MLB 181]  Being the same property which was conveyed unto Medora Gertrude Wilson and Mary Marshall Brice by Ola W. Smith, widow, by deed dated 24 November 1936 in 35 JFD 39.

35 JFD 39 – 24 November 1936 – Ola W. Smith, widow of Marshall G. Smith, of Baltimore, to Madora Gertrude Wilson, wife of H.R.D. Wilson, of Baltimore, and Mary Marshall Brice, wife of R. Tilghman Brice III, of Annapolis, for $5:  [as described in 647 MLB 181].  Being the identical property that was conveyed by Edward S. Stanley & Emily E.R. Stanley, his wife, to Marshall G. Smith & Ola W. Smith, his wife, by deed dated 16 March 1923 in 12 JFD 647.

12 JFD 647 – 16 March 1923 - Edward S. Stanley & Emily E.R. Stanley, his wife, to Marshall G. Smith & Ola W. Smith, his wife, of Baltimore, for $5:  [as described in 647 MLB 181].  Being the same property which was conveyed to the said Edward S. Stanley by deed dated of even date.

12 JFD 647 – 16 March 1923 – Marshall G. Smith & Ola W. Smith, his wife, to Edward S. Stanley, of Baltimore, for $5:  [as described in 647 MLB 181].  Being the same property which was conveyed to the said Marshall G. Smith and Madora C. Smith, his wife, by deed dated 1 September 1906 in 32 CL 323 from Milton Roberts.  The said Madora C.Smith having since departed this life leaving her said husband Marshall G. Smith surviving her, and the said Marshall G. Smith having subsequently intermarried with the said Ola W. Smith, his present wife.

Smith, his wife, of Baltimore, for $5:  House and lot known as the 'Brown House' property in East New Market, on the street leading to the village of Secretary Creek, at present occupied by John Foley, as tenant, which property fronts 60 feet on the street and extends back a distance of 170 feet.  Said property being bounded on the north by the street, on the south by the land of Robert W. Randall, on the east by the lands of Mrs. Emma Smith, and on the west by the schoolhouse property.  This is the same property described in the first report of realty in No. 225 Chancery in the Orphans Court of Dorchester County.

Closing Days of the Month of Roses Marked by Many Pretty Marriages - Miss Madora Christiana Andrews, daughter of the late Tilghman Andrews, of East New Market, Dorchester county, Md., was married yesterday to Dr. Marshall Grundy Smith at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Annie P. Courtney, 2309 Greenmount avenue.  Rev. John P. Outten, pastor of Rock Hall Methodist Episcopal Church, Rock Hall, Md., officiated.  The bride entered the drawing room accompanied by her brother, Mr. J. Tilghman Andrews, by whom she was given away....
